Our Mission

The aim of the Council is to act as an independent professional pressure group, promoting quality in the provision of learning resources services throughout the further education and sixth form college sector in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

We aim to provide a service to all our members, including:

be instrumental in the formulation of national standards;

assist colleges with the assessment and inspection processes;

accredit quality;

stimulate continuous improvement of quality;

underpin the quality of teaching and learning;

promote co-operation and partnerships;

provide an informal network of peer support.
